Funeral services for James Youngs, age 50 a resident of the Highland Nursing Home and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held 5:00pm on Friday (March 15, 2013) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor David Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Macomb.

Calling hours will also be held on Friday from 3:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Youngs passed away Monday evening (Mar 11, 2013) at Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Surviving is his mother Beatrice Youngs of Hampton, VA; a sister Fawn Youngs of Heuvelton; four brothers and their wives Harold Jr. & Janet Youngs of Pamona Park, FL, Neal & Jessey Youngs of Milton, FL, David & Helena Youngs of Gouverneur, NY & Kelvin & Sanie Youngs of Newport News, VA; nieces, & nephews Gavin, Deshawn, Ryan, Ethan, Bianca, Racheal, Madolyn, Kathryn, Madyson, Kellie Anne, Neleh, Jimely, Darwin, Sue & Isiah; his favorite dog “Susie” along with cousins, several great nieces, nephews and many friends. His father Harold C. Youngs and a nephew Allan Miller predeceased him.

Jimmy was born on November 7, 1962 in Gouverneur, NY a son of Harold C. & Beatrice M. (Kelley) Youngs. He attended schools in Hammond, Morristown and Canton and was raised by Jim & Ruth Smith of Brier Hill. During his working years he was employed at Perretta Packing, various farms, the 801 housing project @ Fort Drum and Snye’s Greenhouse until he became unable to work in 1992 because of his pulmonary disease.

He was active in the US Army National Guard for 2 years and enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, hunting & the outdoors.
