Police: Canton man head-butted girlfriend during fight

CANTON — Village police arrested Canton resident Andrew J. Leboeuf, 21, 46 Law Lane, at about 5 p.m. Thursday following a physical domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend at her apartment on Law Lane.

Police reported that Mr. Leboeuf forced his way into the apartment at about 4:50 p.m., kicking down the front door to enter. During the altercation that followed, he grabbed her, pushed her into the wall and at one point head-butted her. He was ordered to leave several times but refused. The victim received a minor injury to the forehead but did not require medical treatment.

Police found and arrested Mr. Leboeuf on Gouverneur Street after he left the victim’s apartment. Mr. Leboeuf was charged with one count of second-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned by Justice Christopher R. Curley at the village of Canton Court and transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, where bail was set at $3,000 cash and $6,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear March 19 at the village of Canton Court.
