WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Jill Carlton, Abigail Horan and Abigail Owens each scored three goals as the St. Lawrence University womens lacrosse team routed Becker (Mass.) 18-2 in a nonconference game on Thursday.
Brigid Hurley and Lizzy Saward both scored twice for the Saints (3-1 overall). Caroline Bailey, Joey Kelley, Carly VanTassel, Stephanie ORourke and Michaela Maybee also scored for SLU.
Ashley Mossey scored twice for Becker.
BASEBALL
SUNY BROCKPORT 7-4, CLARKSON 5-3
The Golden Eagles won a pair of extra-inning games to sweep a nonconference doubleheader from Clarkson (0-2) in Winter Haven, Fla.
SUNY Brockport (6-1) scored twice in the top of the 11th inning to win game one and won game two with a run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Jake Coleman went 3-for-4 for SUNY Brockport in the opener, while Nick Bunce was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Pete Wilson, Shawn Peake and Stephen Boronczyk each had two hits in game two.
Dan Lenney went 2-for-5 and drove in three runs in the opener for Clarkson. Matt Jenack also had two hits. David Wixted and Nolan Driscoll each went 2-for-4 in game two for the Golden Knights.
ST. LAWRENCE 4, ST. JOSEPHS 0
Joe Riley scattered five hits in seven innings to lead the Saints (3-3) past St. Josephs in a nonconference game in Fort Myers, Fla.
Jeff Kott drove in two runs while Matt DeLuca, Carter Franz also drove in runs for the Saints.
SOFTBALL
SAINTS DROP TWO
SLU (5-5) failed to score and dropped two nonconference games in Clermont, Fla., falling 8-0 to Simmons and 10-0 to Hood.
Chelsea Cavellier had a hit in each game for the Saints.
WOMENS TENNIS
ST. LAWRENCE 5, HAVERFORD 4
Elizabeth Geer won her singles match and teamed with Morgan McNeal to claim a doubles match as the Saints (3-3) defeated Haverford in a nonconference match in Orlando.
Olivia Arroyo, Shannon Murphy and Laura Goldhar also won singles matches for the Saints.
