Mr. and Mrs. William Traynor, 55 years

LAFARGEVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. William Traynor, 19659 Woodard Road, observed their 55th wedding anniversary March 8.

Mr. Traynor, son of the late Leo and Nora Traynor, and Nancy Hirschey, daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Hirschey, were married March 8, 1958, at Asbury Methodist Church, Watertown, with the Rev. Donald Boyd officiating. Honor attendants were Donna Traynor, Watertown, sister of the groom, and Carl Foster, Watertown.

Mrs. Traynor graduated in 1955 from Beaver River Central School, Beaver Falls, and in 1956 from Watertown School of Commerce. She retired as ward secretary after 15 years at the House of the Good Samaritan, now Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. She enjoys gardening, shopping and traveling with high school friends.

Mr. Traynor attended Watertown schools and retired after 47 years with Knowlton Specialty Paper Inc., Watertown. He enjoys fishing, hunting and doing projects with his grandchildren.

The couple has two daughters, Tammy O’Donnell, Clayton, and Lisa Eppolito, Clayton; two sons, Brad, Chaumont, and William “B.J.,” Stone Mills; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Thomas, died June 2002.
