The North Country Arts Council will host a two-day slam poetry workshop featuring poet, activist and educator Jared Paul on Wednesday and Thursday.
The workshop, each day from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., is limited to eight participants and is open to all ages.
Slam poetry melds writing with the art of performance.
Mr. Paul is artist-in-residence at AS220, the award-winning Rhode Island arts collective dedicated to providing unjuried spaces for local and national artists.
As a performance poet, hes toured internationally to more than 200 cities in the United States, Canada and Europe.
His online bio also notes a storied career laden with protest arrests.
