Following a five-year freeze on Seaway toll rates for vessels, the Canadian St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. announced that tolls will increase by 3 percent for the 2013 navigation season.
The Seaway charges different rates depending on the type of the shipment such as bulk cargo, grain, coal and steel slab and volume in addition to a minimum charge of $25.75.
