A Philadelphia man was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County Court to 10 years probation after admitting to having sexual intercourse with a woman in August 2011 without her consent.
William S. Paluzzi, 22, of 31677 Sandy Hollow Road, pleaded guilty Jan. 25 to third-degree rape in connection with the incident, which took place in Pamelia. He also was required to register as a Level 1 sex offender and was issued a 10-year stay away order of protection for the victim.
In other court activity Friday:
Plumer D. Reed, 36, address not available, was sentenced to 3½ years in state prison and two years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty Jan. 25 to third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, crack cocaine. He also was ordered to forfeit $400, pay restitution of $200 and enter drug treatment.
Heather L. Chamberlain, 36, of 905 Academy St., pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and violation of probation. She was arrested Dec. 21, accused of threatening a man at knifepoint and hitting him on the head with a liquor bottle. She is to be sentenced April 29.
Rondal J. Byrd, 24, New York City, was sentenced to two years in prison and two years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also will have to forfeit $4,618. He was found with 89 bags of crack cocaine in June at a Pamelia motel.
Mark R. VanAllen, 39, Watertown, was sentenced to time served in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and three years probation for fourth-degree criminal mischief. He pleaded guilty Nov. 7. The charge relates to an Aug. 11 incident in which he used a shovel to break two windows of a 1994 Toyota pickup truck owned by his father.
