Motorists charged with DWI


The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Edmund J. Rebb, 52, of 53 Champion St., West Carthage, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with aggravated DWI at 8:11 p.m. Friday in the village of West Carthage following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident.

His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.19 percent.

A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

He also was charged with failure to yield the right of way when entering the highway. Property damage resulted from the accident, but no injuries were reported.

n Emily J. Desjarlais, 23, New York City, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI at 1:07 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Main Street. Her BAC was listed as 0.21 percent.

n Amanda L. Martin, 35, of 6091 Number Four Road, Lowville, also was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana at 11:40 p.m. March 9 on West Road in the town of Turin.

She was later taken to Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, for treatment of unrelated medical conditions, and a blood sample was taken.

Deputies charged her with common-law DWI, based on their observations, pending results from a blood test.

n Jonathan A. Wood, 43, Beaverton, Ore., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday on Route 26 in the town of Champion.

He also was cited with unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to keep right, driving across hazard markings and unlicensed operation. His BAC was not available.

n Christopher J. Beardmore, 23, of 623 Burlington St., Upper Apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:48 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Mill Street. His BAC was listed as 0.11 percent.

n Clarence O. Singleton, 28, Perris, Calif., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:59 a.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of LeRay.

His BAC was listed as 0.13 percent.
