Dexter man faces charges over a 2011 incident

Brandon L. Constance, 20, of 24718 County Route 54, Dexter, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 4:14 p.m. Friday with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and fourth-degree criminal mischief stemming from a complaint of a vehicle stolen in the town of Orleans and found wrecked in the town of Brownville.

Mr. Constance is accused of possessing a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck owned by W.D. Bach Excavation and Consulting and valued at $16,662.50. Deputies said the truck was found totaled at 24860 County Route 54 in the town of Brownville with Mr. Constance’s blood on the deployed driver’s-side airbag on or about April 23, 2011.

Mr. Constance is serving a state prison sentence for violating the terms of a probation sentence he received for stealing and crashing another pickup truck in the town of Brownville in October 2010. He was sent from prison to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building to face the new charges.
