WEST LEYDEN — The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Sunday morning rollover here that involved a vehicle with six occupants.

Deputies said that around 9 a.m., Lita M. Prosser, 17, of 42 Railroad St., Camden, lost control of her vehicle while exiting to the left side of Osceola Road. The vehicle struck a snowbank and rolled over on its passenger side in the road. The six occupants of the vehicle were taken by Constableville, West Leyden and AmCare ambulances to Rome Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries before being released.

The investigation into the incident is continuing, with charges pending, deputies said. Specific information about those charges was not available Sunday.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the West Leyden Fire Department and state police.
