Massena: Earl L. White, 85 of Prospect Avenue passed away early Tuesday morning March 19, 2013 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Earl was born on April 3, 1927 in Massena the son of Frank and Mabel (LaRue) White. After graduating from Massena Central High School Earl married Lois Larrow on November 17, 1947 at the Church of the Sacred Heart. In 1951 he started as an agent with the Nationwide Insurance Company later becoming the owner, until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1141, Massena Elks Lodge B.P.O.E #1702, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Earl’s survivors include his wife Lois, a son and daughter; Robert and Ann of Parishville, Nancy and Robert Adams of Massena, five grandchildren; Natalie White, Monique White and husband Jess Rose, Charles White, Thomas and wife Vanessa Adams, James and spouse Megan Adams, two great grandchildren; Grayson James Adams of Arkansas, Cameron Thomas Adams of Massena, a brother Carl and sisters; Irene Power and Marie Greene. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Howard, G. Lawrence and Bernard White also sisters Barbara Brownell and Frances Dunn. A Funeral Mass for Earl L. White will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the Church of The Sacred Heart in Massena with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery Massena, in the spring. Friends and family may be received on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 2-5 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Those wishing to express acts of kindness may make memorial contributions to the Trinity Catholic Endowment Fund or Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
