Funeral service for Phillip J. Carpenter, 44, of Ogdensburg and formerly of Canton will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00am at the Morley Wesleyan Church. Burial in the spring will be in the Hermon Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church, from 9:00am until the time of the service.

Surviving Phillip are his mother and step-father, Kathleen and Gerald Cross of Morley; brothers, Joseph W. Cross of Saranac Lake; Gerald W. Cross of Canton and David R. Carpenter of Edward; a sister, Grace M. Cross of Pierrepont and a foster sister, Anne Wright of Pierrepont.

He is predeceased by his father Donald Carpenter and by a brother James W. Carpenter.

Phillip was born in Buffalo, NY on January 12, 1969. He attended Colton-Pierrepont Central School. Phillip had worked for several restaurants in the area and had his own lawn care business in Virginia.

He loved listening to the television.
