Sophomore right-handed pitcher Josh Amann was named Jefferson Community College athlete of the week for the week ending Sunday.

A 2011 graduate of Carthage Central School, Amann pitched a complete-game 11-2 victory against NJCAA Division I Hagerstown CC on Saturday. In seven innings he allowed just one earned run, four hits and struck out three.
