State police: a Pierrepont Manor woman stole grandmother’s identity

PIERREPONT MANOR — A Pierrepont Manor woman has been accused of stealing her grandmother’s identity and spending more than $3,5000 at area businesses.

State police in Watertown arrested Rebecca S. Keegan, 27, of 15952 County Route 91, Pierrepont Manor, on two counts of second-degree forgery and one count each of first-degree identity theft, third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies, and misdemeanor petit larceny.

She allegedly forged the signature of her grandmother, Beverly A. Wilson, on personal checks and from her stolen credit card between July 1 to Sept. 1 of last year. During that time, she spent about $3,653.97 at area businesses without her grandmother’s permission, state police said.

She was arraigned in Adams Town Court and remanded back to the Oswego County jail on $5,000 bail, pending further grand jury action. Ms. Keegan was being already being held in the Oswego County jail on separate charges.
