To The Editor:
I think we can safely assume supreme court justices, Alito, Roberts, Scalia and Thomas are on the side of tradition when it comes to marriage in our nation. These 4 justices will vote to keep marriage a rite of passage symbolizing the beginning of the traditional family of man, woman and their offspring.
That said, 4 out of 9 doesnt make a majority thus justice Kennedy is in the position of God but will he vote as the God of Christians would. I know the God of Christians, Muslims and Jews is one and the same but the court like it or not is currently dealing with the Christian belief, one man, one woman, one marriage ordained (enact or establish by law or confer holy orders upon) by minister, priest or public official.
The decision our high court reaches after deliberations this week will affect our nation and its citizens for as long as we exist as a United States of America.
In my opinion what the high court decides by June is the most important issue our society faces as it pauses and votes on the future of human kind on earth.
Who does the rite of marriage belong to?
Justice Kennedy you have the power to make America better, to cure the ills of society, to heal the family structure for once and for all. Your vote will be a monument to you so please get it right.
