POTSDAM — Denise Johns scored with 76 seconds left in overtime to give SUNY Potsdam a 15-14 victory over SUNY New Paltz in a SUNYAC women’s lacrosse game Tuesday.

SUNY Potsdam outscored SUNY New Paltz 8-4 in the second half and forced overtime when Bri McClusky scored with one second left.

Margaret Wall led the Bears (3-3, 1-0) with five goals. Bailey Weigel, Whitney Boshart, McClusky and Johns each finished with two goals. Michelle Varney and Emily Petit also scored.

Kelsey Healy led SUNY New Paltz (3-3, 0-2) with five goals. Lianne Valdiva and Erin Tomatore each scored three times, and Talia Tesler supplied two goals.
