John R. Robillard


Massena: John Ray Robillard 87 of Kennedy Court passed away on April 3, 2013 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Ray was born on January 17, 1926 in Massena the son of Frank W. and Katherine(McGrath) Robillard. Ray proudly served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged. After his discharge Ray married Ella Mae Shackett on May 22, 1946, at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Michael Jurecki, she predeceased him on March 9, 1992. He retired from Alcoa as an electrical engineer in 1982. Ray enjoyed playing golf and bowling; he was a volunteer for Massena Meals on Wheels and was an avid gardener. His survivors include his daughters, Cheryl and Mike Barney of Massena; Linda Robillard and companion Marlene of Rio Linda, CA; Marie and Paul Korlenko of Leola, PA; Mary Jo and Gregory Yateman ofMassena; Jane and Mike Young of Norfolk, NY;16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, also surviving Ray is a brother Larry Robillard of Massena and a sister Virginia LeClair of Lake Placid, FL and two sister in-law’s Gloria Robillard of Massena and Leola Robillard of Lake Placid, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters Patricia Gerstner in 2011, Karen Robillard in1947 and a son Ricky Ray Robillard in 1955, two brothers, Thomas Robert and Francis Ronald Robillard, and two sisters, Madeline Burgess and Margaret Penn.
