■ EVANS MILLS — The village Planning Board has canceled its meeting set for 7 p.m. Wednesday because there are no matters for consideration.

n ADAMS — The village Board of Trustees will hold a budget hearing at 5:45 p.m. Monday at the village office. The board is considering a tax rate increase of 6 percent, in order to cover costs associated with improving the village fire hall.

n Beth A. Linderman, former executive director of Family Counseling Service of Northern New York, intends to run in the Watertown City School District Board of Education election in May. Michael R. Flick is the incumbent. Petitions must be returned by April 26 bearing at least 100 signatures.
