Timeless Frames, County Route 169, received minimal damage following a small fire Sunday afternoon.
William L. Bamann, second Assistant Chief of the Town of Watertown Fire Department, said a small fire started at about 4:30 p.m. in a barrel of wood cuttings left over from the cutting of frames, but was contained by the buildings sprinkler system. Doors were opened to air out smoke in the building. Crews could be seen preparing to leave the scene at about 5:10 p.m.
The office is closed over the weekend, and no employees were inside when the fire began. Company officials and fire investigators are looking into what may have caused the fire.
The Brownville Fire Department also responded to the scene.
