Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville and the Evans Mills Speedway will open their racing seasons later this month.
Can-Am will hold practice sessions on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 1 p.m., and Evans Mills will hold its second practice session of the season at 1 p.m. Saturday. Evans Mills will also hold a practice session every Wednesday during the season from 5 to 8 p.m.
Can-Am, which returns to Friday night racing after a season on Saturdays, opens its schedule on April 19. Evans Mills, which will race on Saturday nights, begins April 20.
Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne, which will hold races on Friday night, wont start its season until May 17. The track will be open for practice on May 11.
■ Tim Fuller of Watertown finished 15th in the Illini 500 on Saturday night at the Farmers City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill. Fuller started sixth in the 100-lap late model World of Outlaws tour series race.
Watertown native Tim McCreadie was 17th after starting third. McCreadie experienced car problems with five laps to go as his car slid off the backstretch due to a broken fifth-coil shock. Jason Feger of Bloomington, Ill., won the race.
