DWAI DRUGS - POTSDAM - Village police charged Evan Michael Fraser, 22, of St. Regis Falls with driving while ability impaired by drugs and ticketed him for moving from lane unsafely and failure to yield right of way on left turn at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Elm Street. Police said they responded to a complaint of a possible intoxicated subject preparing to leave a Market Street restaurant.Patrols observed the suspect vehicle on Market Street and reportedly observed it move from its lane unsafely into oncoming traffic and then fail to yield right of way at the intersection of Market and Elm streets. A traffic stop was initiated on Elm Street, and the police investigation revealed the operator to be impaired by drugs.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Joshua A. Addington, 22, of El Paso, Texas for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 10:43 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. The vehicle had a headlight out, police said.
