BROCKPORT - Chelsea Martin, a sophomore from Ogdensburg, scored the biggest goal of her Cortland State girls lacrosse career as the number four nationally ranked Red Dragons rallied for a 12-11 win over Brockport State on Tuesday.
The Dragons erased an 11-9 deficit with 4:05 remaining in regulation and Martin tied the game at 11-11 with 45 seconds to play.
Marilyn Farrell scored 1:11 in the first of two three-minute overtimes and the Dragons made it stand as the margin of victory.
Farrell finished the game with two goals and two assists for the Red Dragons (10-1, 4-0 SUNYAC). Senior Laura Edward led Cortland with four goals, sophomore Emma Hayes-Hurley (Huntington) tallied three goals and one assist.
