CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - POTSDAM - Village police charged Patrick J. Bonafede, 18, of Churchville with fourth-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree conspiracy and trespassing following an investigation into an incident that took place on Dec. 8. Bonafede and another individual reportedly damaged a fence on Main Street. Bonafede was picked up by SUNY Potsdam University Police on campus Wednesday afternoon on an arrest warrant and turned over to the Potsdam Police Department. He was arraigned by Potsdam Town Justice Sam Charleson and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500.



RED LIGHT - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Mandy M. White, 22, of Moira for illegally passing a red light at 12:29 a.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Kayla M. Gagnon, 22, of Port Henry for following tooclosely at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday after she rear ended the vehicle in front of her on Elm Street.

0945 Registered a resident’s bicycle with the department.

1000 Checked a local address at the request of the sheriff’s department, who are looking for a person on a county court warrant.

1145Completed an equipment correction form for a motorist.

1158 Patrol responded to a property damage accident on Elm Street.

Kayla M. Gagnon(22), Port Henry, NY was issued a traffic ticket for Following to Close after rear ending the vehicle in front of her. Ticket returnable to Village Court on 4/26/2013.

1220 Patrol responded to Leroy Street for a complaint of a subject driving without a license.

1245 Received a call of a possible suicidal subject. Patrols and outside agencies made aware to be on the lookout for the vehicle the subject is in.

1255 Assisted another police agency with a background check.

1520 Patrols received a mental health pick-up order for a subject.

1545 A resident called and complained about vehicles going through the stop sign at Main and Cedar streets without stopping.

1630 Patrick J. Bonafede arrested on a warrant.
