SACKETS HARBOR The school Board of Education approved an increase in the tax levy of 2 percent for the 2013-14 budget Tuesday.
The total budget is $7,994,595 a $93,760 increase from last years $7,900,835. It is the first budget increase in four years.

Employee benefits will see an 11.4 percent, or $220,419, increase. Teaching, including instructional salaries, will go up 0.9 percent, or $20,051. Decreases are in library instructional media and transportation services.
