Police: fleeing man crashes vehicle

Watertown police said a motorist was involved in a rollover early Thursday after he fled from a traffic stop in the 100 block of High Street.

Police said Tori K. Vick, 25, of 661 Factory St., Apt. 2, sped off from the traffic stop about 1:35 a.m. and drove a short distance before crashing his vehicle at Factory Square. He was not injured.

The vehicle went through the intersection and into a parking lot before hitting an embankment and rolling over, police said.

Mr. Vick was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, failure to comply, driving without headlights, going through a red light, reckless driving and speeding. He was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 police bail pending arraignment.
