Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Chamberlain, 65 years

CANTON — Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Chamberlain, Canton, formerly of Harrisville, observed their 65th wedding anniversary on March 29 and celebrated with several family dinners and parties.

Mr. Chamberlain, son of the late Wellington P. and Birdella “Tot” Chamberlain, and Margaret Lancor, daughter of the late Roy and Marion Lancor, were married on March 29, 1948 at St. Francis Solanus Church, Harrisville. Honor attendants were the late John Lancor, brother of the bride, and the late Mary C. Garbreano.

Mrs. Chamberlain graduated in 1944 from Harrisville High School, She is a homemaker and was a school tax collector for 30 years.

Mr. Chamberlain left high school in 1943 to serve in the Navy in the Pacific theater until 1946. He returned to Harrisville High School after his discharge, graduating in 1947. Mr. Chamberlain worked for Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. for 30 years and was a bus driver with Harrisville Central School for 17 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

The couple has a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Kevin Cole, Colton; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carol, Russell, and Joseph and Melissa, Fort Covington; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A son, Danny, died in 2003.
