FORT COVINGTON - Two teens were taken to the Alice-Hyde Medical Center following a motor vehicle accident at 8:09 p.m. Wednesday on county Route 4 in Fort Covington.

According to state police Jordan Oliveira, 16, of Bombay was taken to the hospital for treatment of a broken pelvis and injuries to one of his legs. He was then transferred to the Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.

Also taken to the hospital was Devlin Laughing, 16, of Bombay, who was treated for a “non displaced fracture” in his back. Troopers said he was treated and released.

Troopers said the accident occurred as Quinton M. Wilson, 17, of Bombay was west bound on county Route 4 in his 2000 GMC pickup when he reached down into the console to pickup a soft drink, went off of the road and struck a tree head-on.

Two other passengers, Christian Oliveira and Christian Duncan, both 17, of Bombay were treated at the scene for cuts and bruises.
