Jefferson Community College plated 14 runs in the second inning of the nightcap as it swept Clinton CC 13-7 and 20-1 in a Region 3 East Division baseball game Saturday at the Duffy Fairgrounds.
Tyler Decker tripled twice and drove in five runs in game two for the Cannoneers (14-11 overall, 8-2 league), while Jason Hardie homered and had four RBIs.
ROCHESTER 3-11, CLARKSON 2-13
Bobby Derico and Matt Jenack drove in runs in the top of the 12th inning to help Clarkson (10-15, 7-9) salvage a split of a Liberty League doubleheader with the Yellowjackets in Rochester.
John Coleman went 5-for-8 for Clarkson in game two. David Wixted, Derico and Jenack each had three hits and Justin Rebhun and Tim Beninati produced two hits in the second game.
Nolan Schultz had two hits in game one and three in game two for Rochester (13-15, 7-9). Sam Slutsky and Ethan Sander both supplied three-hit games in game two for Rochester.
RENSSELAER 2-16, ST. LAWRENCE 1-5
Shane Matthews went 3-for-4, including a home run, and drove in three runs to lead Rensselaer (19-7, 11-5) to a sweep in a Liberty League doubleheader in Troy.
Mike Campisi struck out seven for RPI in the opener. Chuck Erickson led RPI with four hits and four RBIs in game two. Tim LeSuer and Jared Jensen also had three hits in the second contest for the Engineers.
Mark Syron produced two hits in each game for the Saints (13-10, 7-7). Carter Franz contributed two, including a home run, and drove in three runs in game two for the Saints.
FISHER 10, SUNY CANTON 9
Fisher rallied from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Kangaroos (6-17) in a nonconference game in Canton.
Victor Lebron went 2-for-2 and drove in five runs for Fisher (30-14). Jose Paulino added three hits for Fisher.
Kyle Sacks went 2-for-4 to lead SUNY Canton and Michael Zelyez drove in four runs.
SYRACUSE 9, GEORGETOWN 8
Derek Maltz and Luke Cometti each scored twice as the Orange held off a late rally for the Big East win over the Hoyas in Washington, D.C.
Dominic Lamolinara made 10 saves for Syracuse (10-3, 4-1).
Travis Comeau and Dan McKinney each tallied twice for Georgetown (5-8, 2-3).
JEFFERSON CC 7, MOHAWK VALLEY CC 5
Joe Spooner accounted for three goals and one assist to help lift the Cannoneers to victory over the Hawks (1-11) at Utica.
Dan Lazore finished with one goal and three assists, and Kyle Scordo scored two goals. Gordon Wiltse made 14 saves for JCC (2-9).
ST. LAWRENCE 12, RENSSELAER 3
Pierson Fowler scored three goals to lead the Saints to victory during a Liberty League game in Canton.
The win clinches a home playoff game for the Saints in the conference tournament, which begins in two weeks.
Alden Frelinghuysen and Malcolm Lynch each scored twice for SLU (10-3, 5-0).
Eric Valero led RPI (5-8, 1-5) with two goals.
SUNY CORTLAND 12, CLARKSON 6
Former Massena standout Zach Hopps provided three goals and two assists to lead the top-ranked Red Dragons (13-0) in a nonconference game in Cortland.
Joe Slavik also registered three goals and two assists for SUNY Cortland. Cody Consul and Matt Rakoczy scored twice.
Peter Goss led Clarkson (8-5) with two goals.
SUNY POTSDAM 11, SUNY GENESEO 10
Ed Doherty scored with 1 minute, 31 seconds left to give the Bears (6-5, 2-2) a win over SUNY Geneseo in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam.
Rob Kunz finished with three goals and three assists for the Bears. Doherty and Pat Morrill both scored two goals. Derek Frost, Matt Kennedy, Stefan Sloma and Jared Flath also scored for SUNY Potsdam.
Brent Lawless led SUNY Geneseo (5-6, 2-2) with three goals.
CASTLETON 18, SUNY CANTON 5
Spencer Hunts three goals and three assists led Castleton (11-3) in a nonconference game in Canton.
Chris Gamble led the Kangaroos (4-5) with two goals. Patrick Connelly, Garrett DiTullio and Rob Gleason also scored.
JEFFERSON CC 10, CCBC ESSEX 9
Erica Gardner scored three goals as Jefferson Community College held off a second-half rally from visiting Baltimore County Essex to claim the victory.
The Cannoneers led 9-3 at halftime.
Allison Brady and Cierra Recor each scored twice for JCC (5-2). Brady added an assist. Gabrielle Navarra, Jorden Mead and Kaitlyn Rajner also scored.
Carlin Grudzien scored four goals for Essex. Katherine Bowman added three.
SUNY FREDONIA 18, SUNY POTSDAM 4
Rachael Reinis scored six goals to send the Blue Devils (14-0, 6-0) in a SUNYAC game in Fredonia.
Erin Edson scored three goals, and Kaila Fox and Katie Glagolev each scored twice.
Whitney Boshart led the Bears (4-8, 1-5) with two goals.

Jefferson Community Colleges Andrew Bird shot a 75 for a second place finish at a Region 3 event at Highland Park Golf Club in Auburn.
Jordan Farnham of Monore Community College shot a 73 for the overall lead. JCCs Jake Yartz finished eighth with an 80.
Monroe led the team tournament with a 308, while JCC was fifth with a 353.
ST. LAWRENCE 8-9, SKIDMORE 5-0
Kyle Plimpton struck out 15 in the opener as the Saints (14-11, 6-4) swept a Liberty League doubleheader in Saratoga Springs.
Aisha OConnor totaled three hits for SLU in game one and Caroline Kieltyka, Cailyn Welsh and Lauren Weisbarth each added two hits.
Natasha Bell, Elizabeth McGinley and Kieltyka all produced three hits in game two for the Saints.
Julia Schwartz went 3-for-4 for Skidmore (9-25, 1-9) in game one.
