CASTORLAND Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Bingle, 5489 Route 410, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 20 at a dinner given by their children at Sboros Restaurant, Watertown.
Mr. Bingle, son of the late Harry D. and Dorothy Bingle, and Doris Graves, daughter of the late Harold and Marion Graves, were married April 20, 1963, at Castorland Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert W. Bird officiating.
Mr. Bingle graduated in 1949 from Carthage High School. He was employed in the finishing department at J.P. Lewis Co., Beaver Falls, in accounting at St. Regis Paper Co., Deferiet, in sales at Beaverite Products Inc., Beaver Falls, and in production scheduling at James River Corp., (formerly Crown Zellerbach), Carthage. Mr. Bingle enjoys fiddling.
Mrs. Bingle graduated in 1957 from Lowville Academy and Central School. She worked as a stenographer at LACS and in the IBM department at Climax Manufacturing Co., Castorland, until she became a full-time mother. She retired from Lewis County Public Health in 1996. Mrs. Bingle enjoys quilting and knitting.
Mr. and Mrs. Bingle enjoy spending time with their family and are members of Black River Valley Chapter of the New York State Old Tyme Fiddlers Association and Beaver Valley United Methodist Church.
The couple has two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Ed Walseman, King George, Va., and Sharon and Greg Towse, Canajoharie; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Amy, Lowville; and six grandchildren.
