Three Watertown financial advisers from the Couch Group have left Morgan Stanley Smith Barney this week to launch a Watertown branch for UBS Wealth Management. The branch will be located on the second floor of the former Agricultural Insurance Co. building at 215 Washington St., a short walk from the Morgan Stanley office on the first floor.
Gregory G. Couch, William C. Couch Jr. and Eric DeLaGarza served at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for a combined 38 years as partners for the Couch Group, according to a still-active Morgan Stanley website. Daniel R. Long, branch manager of UBS Wealth Management in Syracuse, also will serve as branch manager at the new Watertown office.
As a firm, UBS is very excited to expand our wealth-management platform in the north country, Mr. Long said. Were happy to do that with a group of veteran financial advisers like the Couch Group. Were always looking to add high-quality advisers whenever we have the opportunity.
Gregory Couch could not be reached Friday for comment.
