A Watertown man was jailed Saturday after allegedly being found with narcotic pills, including methadone.
William J. McCrory Jr., 33, of 22988 Plaza Drive, was charged by Watertown police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned before Watertown Town Justice David A. Renzi and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
He also allegedly violated probation from Wisconsin, according to police.
Mr. McCrory was released from New York state prison in 2006 after serving a few years on charges of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, third-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on a conviction in Jefferson County Court.
