CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Village police charged James M. Trombley, 32, of 20 Cherry St., Potsdam, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday after responding to a suspicious person complaint in the Massena Memorial Hospital parking lot. Police said they found Trombley was in possession of 13 bindles of a substance that appeared to be heroin but only three bundles tested positive for being a controlled substance. He was released on an appearance ticket.



HYPODERMIC NEEDLE - MASSENA - Village police charged Steven Stacy, 30, of 20 Cherry St., Potsdam, was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle following a traffic stop at 9:27 p.m. Monday on Sycamore Street. The operator of the vehicle, Joshua P. Lattimer, 20, of Howardsville Road, Canton, was ticketed for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate plate lamp. Lattimer reportedly gave police consent to search his vehicle, and they located eight needles in a black backpack in the backseat next to Stacy. He reportedly claimed owership of the backpack and its belongings.



INADEQUATE PLATE LAMO - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Tyler R. Paige, 24, of Route 420, Massena, with operation of a vehicle with an inadequate plate lamp following a traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. Monday on Willow Street.



FAMILY COURT WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up a 14-year-old male juvenile on a Jefferson County Family Court warrant at 2:15 p.m. Monday. He was transported by sheriff’s deputies to Watertown.



SUSPENDED REGISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Holly A. Montgomery, 38, of Brouse Road, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration at 1:21 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Route 37.
