Tim McCreadie finished third Sunday night in the World of Outlaws late model series in the 50-lap feature at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn.

The Watertown native battled for second with Darrell Lanigan, but was beaten at the finish line by two-car lengths.

Watertown’s Tim Fuller, who finished fifth despite starting 23rd because of a broken battery box that had occurred earlier during heat action, was forced to use a provisional start to gain entry into the A-main feature. Tour rookie Eric Wells won the feature.

McCreadie did earn his first win of the season on the circuit over a week ago when he took the 50-lap series race at the 311 Motor Speedway in Pine Hall, N.C. Fuller finished seventh in that race. It was the second straight season that McCreadie’s first win on the series tour came at the Tar Heel State track.
