Carol L. Clarke


Carol L. Clarke, 29, Co. Rt. 4, Clayton, passed away Monday morning, April 29, 2013, at Samaritan Medical Center.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Friday, May 3, from 4 - 7PM. A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, May 4, at the Clayton Volunteer Fire Dept., 855 Graves St., Clayton from 1 - 5PM.

Carol was born in Anchorage, AK on July 22, 1983, daughter of Scott Earl and Elizabeth Kellogg Keesling. She graduated with honors from Thousand Islands High School in 2001, received her Associates in Liberal Arts from Canton ATC, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from SUNY Brockport.

On June 30, 2007 she married Robert M. Clarke in Clayton with Rev. Dr. D. James Lewis officiating.

She was employed by the Wakeel family at the Riverside Cafe for a number of years, and was currently at the Channelside Restaurant in Clayton. Her family was the most important part of her life. Carol enjoyed her “Girl’s Nights”, gardening, and cross stitch projects.

Besides her husband, Robert, Carol is survived by her two daughters, Makayla K. and Kendra M. Clarke, both at home; her mother, Elizabeth Kellogg, Clayton; her maternal grandmother, Catharine B. Kellogg, Clayton; her mother and father-in-law, Richard A. and Georgeen M. Clarke, Clayton; her brother, Kirk J. Keesling; her brother and sister-in-law, Patrick J. “P. J.” and Krista H. Clarke; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, one nephew, and cousins.
