POTSDAM — Will Coleman struck out 11 to lead the Potsdam baseball team to a 7-1 win over Norwood-Norfolk in an Northern Athletic Conference nonleague game on Wednesday.

Coleman also singled, doubled and drove in two runs for the Sandstoners (7-2 overall). Shawn Clark also produced two hits for Potsdam.

Chris Prashaw led the Flyers (6-1) with a two-hit game.

HEUVELTON 14, HARRISVILLE 5

Cody Holland homered and added two singles to send Heuvelton (8-0) past the Pirates in a West Division game in Harrisville.

Mike Martin went 4-for-5 for Heuvelton. Chris Power and Matt Guardino each produced three hits. Justin Hartle led Harrisville (9-2, 7-2) with two hits.

MORRISTOWN 21, HERMON-DEKALB 0

Jacob Fox, Tyler Delosh and Luke King combined to hold Hermon-DeKalb (1-8) to just two hits as the Green Rockets won a West Division game in Morristown.

Karter VanArnam and Jake VanArnam each produced three hits while Tyler Delosh doubled twice and Jacob Fox doubled and singled for Morristown (6-2).

EDWARDS-KNOX 8, CLIFTON-FINE 3

Devin Clark led the Cougars (4-3) with three hits in a West Division victory against Clifton-Fine at Star Lake. Matt Russell led the Eagles (2-5) with a triple and two singles.

LISBON 7, HAMMOND 1

David Turri struck out nine to lead Lisbon past the Red Devils (2-6) in a West Division game in Hammond.

Adam Kelley and Jon Hunter each singled twice for the Golden Knights (2-6).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 4-8, TUPPER LAKE 1-2

Greg Thompson struck out nine in the opening game of an East Division doubleheader, helping the Yellow Jackets sweep Tupper Lake (2-5) in Madrid.

Harrison VanBuren led Madrid-Waddington (4-3) with two hits in game one. Zach Brock produced two hits in game two for Madrid-Waddington.

ST. LAWRENCE 11-14, CHATEAUGAY 0-4

Kris Tabor threw a one-hitter and struck out 10 to lead the Larries past Chateaugay (1-4) in the first game of a sweep of an East Division doubleheader in Brasher Falls.

Tyler Smith homered in the opener for the Larries (5-3, 5-2) and Nate McLaughlin and Devon Euto each produced three hits in game two.

OFA 9, GOUVERNEUR 2

Brendan Arsenault produced three hits, including a double, to lead the Blue Devils past Gouverneur (1-6) in a Central Division game in Ogdensburg. Andrew Cole homered and doubled for OFA (5-1) and Jon Tayler produced three hits.

Ryan Besaw led the Wildcats with two hits.

SARANAC CENTRAL 6, SALMON RIVER 5

Three errors in the seventh inning proved costly for the Shamrocks (1-4) in a nonleague loss at Section 7’s Saranac Central.

Zach Smith and Justin Bigness each produced two hits for Salmon River.

CARTHAGE 9, MASSENA 7

The Comets avenged a 19-3 loss to the Red Raiders last Saturday by scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning of a nonleague game at Carthage.

Carthage improved to 8-3. Connor Paquin and Zach Rusaw each finished with two hits for Massena (4-6).

SOFTBALL

ST. LAWRENCE 4-17, CHATEAUGAY 0-3

Lindsay Thayer struck out 16 and threw a one-hitter in the opener as the Larries swept Chateaugay (2-3) in an interdivision doubleheader in Brasher Falls. Kelsey Newtown struck out five for SLC (9-2, 7-1) in game two. Chelsea Savage went 3-for-4 and Hailey Agans went 2-for-3 for SLC.

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 11, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Katie Ames struck out five and threw a two-hit shutout to lead the Flyers past Colton-Pierrepont (5-5, 5-3) in an interdivision game in Norwood. Aleah Palmer went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Flyers (7-1, 5-1).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 13-13, TUPPEr LAKE 4-0

Blair Cryderman threw a five-inning, no-hitter in the second game of an interdivision doubleheader, leading the Yellow Jackets to a sweep of Tupper Lake (0-8) in Madrid.

Cryderman was also the winning pitcher in the first game for Madrid-Waddington (3-6, 3-5). Bridget Beldock, Desiree Pryce and Taylor Marcellus each produced two hits in game one for Madrid-Waddington. Mariah Patenaude and Emily Murphy produced two-hit games in game two for Madrid-Waddington.

HAMMOND 12, LISBON 3

Mikayla Horton led the Red Devils with four hits, including a triple, in a West Division victory over Lisbon (6-2) in Hammond.

Alyssa Crosby doubled and singled three times for Hammond (5-3).

HEUVELTON 11, HARRISVILLE 3

Rachel Thornhill singled four times and doubled as Heuvelton knocked off the Pirates (4-7, 4-5) in a West Division contest in Harrisville.

Paige McCormick struck out 10 for Heuvelton (9-1, 8-0). Logan Tallman produced four hits, including a triple and double. Emory Matott led the Pirates with a two-hit game.

MORRISTOWN 21, HERMON-DEKALB 6

Margret Troiano hit a grand slam and drove in two more runs with a double to send the Green Rockets (2-6) past Hermon-DeKalb (2-8, 1-7) in a West Division game in Morristown.

Liz Troiano singled three times and Micaele Roberts added two hits and three RBIs for Morristown.

EDWARDS-KNOX 23, CLIFTON-FINE 3

Mackenzie Hall and Shaye Taylor led the Cougars (6-4, 5-3) with three-hit games in a West Division win over Clifton-Fine (1-6) at Star Lake.

OFA 16, GOUVERNEUR 5

Shannon Tooley led OFA with four hits in a Central Division win over the Wildcats (2-6, 1-4) in Gouverneur. Felicia Barr produced a three-hit game for OFA (4-2).

BOYS LACROSSE

ST. LAWRENCE 12, MASSENA 11

St. Lawrence Central scored the final six goals to knock off the Red Raiders (5-5, 4-5) in Massena.

Cody Burns ended a four-goal game by scoring the game-winner with 3 minutes, 1 second left in regulation for the Larries (7-2).

Lukas Arquiett scored three goals with one assist. Brenden Broderick and Sako Rourke lead Massena with three goals.

CANTON 13, OFA 2

Jake Facey and Peyton Vanbibber each scored three goals to lift Canton (7-2) past the Blue Devils in Ogdensburg.

Jake Garrison scored twice for OFA (2-7).

SALMON RIVER 20, SARANAC LAKE 3

Skyler Thomas scored four goals and assisted on six more to help the Shamrocks defeat Saranac Lake (2-7) in Fort Covington.

Dalston Day scored two goals with five assists, and Kason Tarbell and Karonhiate Lazore each tallied four goals for Salmon River (8-0).

POTSDAM 10, COLTON-PIERREPONT 5

Garrett Kilgore’s five-goal effort helped the Sandstoners (5-4, 5-3) beat Colton-Pierrepont (0-10, 0-9) in Potsdam. Stephen Lewis scored three goals for Potsdam.
