MASSENA - The National Kidney Foundation of Northeast New York and Massena Memorial Hospital presents an occasion for dialysis patients, organ transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, medical professionals, business and community and of course the general public to celebrate life and support the Northeast Kidney Foundations mission.
This Sunday will be the first Massena Walk for Kidneys, starting at the Whalen Park in Louisville. It is a non-competitive, fundraising walk and 5K run focusing on education and prevention of kidney and urinary tract diseases and awareness of the need for organ donation.
The Massena Walk for Kidneys run registration starts at noon and the run begins at 1 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow. The walk registration starts at 1 p.m. with the walk beginning at 2 p.m.
Cost is $20 prior to event and $25 day of event. So join Sidney the Kidney, the Dialysis Divas and Dr. Care Bear in a fun-filled walk for the entire family.
Music will be provided by Ten Cent Green.

The 2013 Massena Walk for Kidneys will follow the free kidney screening being offered from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Massena Memorial Hospital Dialysis Center.
