■ DEFERIET — The village will offer bulk pickup May 14 and 15 for a $10 fee. Arrangements can be made with the village clerk by calling 493-2707.

n LYONS FALLS — The new office hours for the village clerk’s office are 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. A drop box has also been installed at the building.

n DEXTER — Hydrants will be flushed Wednesday on the village’s east side and May 15 on the village’s west side. Residents are advised not to wash clothes until the water has settled.

n LOWVILLE — Staff members of state Assemblyman Kenneth D. Blankenbush, R-Black River, will hold mobile office hours from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Lowville Municipal Building, 5535 Bostwick St.

n Samaritan Medical Center will offer hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation training from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the center court at Salmon Run Mall. Proceeds from a carnation sale will benefit the American Heart Association.
