FORGED INSTRUMENT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Nyrah H. Jefferson-Logan, 21, of 593 state Highway 11C, Winthrop, with second-degree possession of a forged instrument at 8:44 p.m. Tuesday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown.

Troopers said that Jefferson-Logan possessed a forged New York state learner’s permit with a date of birth that had been altered from 09-04-91 to 08-04-91. The change was discovered after Customs and Border Protection officers requested another form of identification and Jefferson-Logan presented a birth certificate.

He was arraigned by Massena Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released under the supervision of probation, to reappear May 22.
