A vehicle driven by a city of Watertown woman was struck by a car driven by an unidentified motorist who police say ran a red light Tuesday afternoon at Arsenal and Washington streets and then left the scene.

City police said a vehicle driven by Christine M. Borreggine, 52, of 927 Riggs Ave., was traveling east through the intersection when a vehicle described as a gray sport utility vehicle passed through the red light, striking her vehicle. The driver of the SUV was described as a white female with dark hair in the accident report.

Mark M. Borreggine, 1311 Marra Drive, was a passenger in Ms. Borreggine’s vehicle at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported.
