POTSDAM — GardenShare, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, will host a free training webinar from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Potsdam Public Library computer center for St. Lawrence County vendors to become authorized to accept Women, Infant, Children fruit and vegetable checks at farmers markets this season.

“By attending this webinar, attendees can complete all the necessary steps to become authorized to accept WIC fruit and vegetable checks at the farmers markets they attend,” GardenShare Executive Director Aviva Gold said in a statement. “With the large number of moms receiving WIC services in St. Lawrence County, this is a substantial income opportunity for our local farmers.”

Attendance can be reserved by emailing GardenShare at Attendees should bring a voided check to include with necessary paperwork.
