BRASHER FALLS - The St. Lawrence Central varsity baseball team outhit St. Regis Falls 23-0 in claiming an NAC sweep on Monday at its home diamond.

The Larries pounded out 12 hits while Devon Euto tossed a five-inning no-hitter in producing a 17-1 win in the opening game. Kris Tabor pitched four hitless innings in the second game as the Larries broke away to a 19-1 decision.

After taking a 3-1 lead in the first inning of the opener, the Larries rattled off 13 runs in the second to put the game out. Tyler Smith led a balanced SLC offense going 3-3 with two runs scored. Hayden St. Hilaire was 2-2 with a three-run homerun and five RBI. Tyler Savage was 2-2 with three runs scored and two RBI while Euto, who fanned eight and walked three in tossing the win, and Nate McLaughlin both went 2-3 with two runs scored.

Cody Lane reached on an error to lead-off the game and eventually came around to score the only SRF run on a fielder’s choice.

The nightcap saw Tabor fan eight and walked just two as the Larries once again took control of the game in the second inning where they pushed across 11 runs.

Euto was 3-4 with three runs scored. St. Hilaire (3 runs scored) and McLaughlin (2 runs scored) connected for two hits apiece while Savage launched a three run-homerun and Smith went 1-1 with a run scored.

The Larries improved to 9-4 with the sweep and will play host to Class C rival Norwood-Norfolk on Saturday at 11 a.m.

In other NAC baseball matchups on Monday, Gouverneur gained a 4-2 Central Division win over Canton in the completion of a suspended game. Canton went on drop a 6-2 decision to OFA in a make-up game from the Pinkerton Tournament which was wiped out by the weather on Saturday while Morristown pulled away to a 15-4 West Division win over Lisbon.

Gouverneur 4, Canton 2: Aaron McEathron struck out 11 as Gouverneur (3-7, 3-5) defeated the Golden Bears in a Central Division game at SUNY Canton.

Alex Hayes went 2-for-3 for the Golden Bears (2-8) and Avery Slack struck out 10.

OFA 6, Canton 2: The bottom two hitters in the order each produced two-hit games for OFA in a victory against the Golden Bears (2-9) in a Central Division game at SUNY Canton.

Pat Cosmo and Alex Farrell both went 2-for-3 for OFA (9-1).
