STAR LAKE — The Ranger School, Wanakena, a division of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, will graduate 45 students, including five north country residents, during its 99th commencement Saturday.

The graduates will include 23 receiving associate of arts and science degrees in forest technology, six receiving an associate’s degree in land surveying technology and 16 receiving an associate’s degree in environmental and natural resources conservation.

Commencement will begin at 11 a.m. in the Clifton-Fine Central School auditorium. Speakers include state Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-Rome; Bruce C. Bongarten, provost, SUNY ESF; Christopher L. Westbrook, Ranger School director, and Robert Coville, class president.

The five north country residents are Kyle Brown and Jacob Eddy, Harrisville; Gary Jessmer, Oswegatchie; Jared Nichols, Natural Bridge; and Kenneth Planty, Colton.
