DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MASSENA - Village police charged Shawn R. Deshane, 30, of 162 Main St., Massena, with disorderly conduct late Wednesday morning after responding to as complaint of a man walking down the street with a wooden barrier breaking signs and slamming the barrier into the pedestrian crossing controls on utility poles. They said they also received a complaint that Deshane had climbed a pole on the Main Street bridge and attempted to break a street light.

OBSTRUCTION GOVERNMENTAL ADMINISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police charged William L. Payne, 25, of 190 Center St., Massena, and Tammy S. Zertuche, 20, of 1639th St. West, Cornwall, Ont., with obstruction of governmental administration at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday on Center Street. Police said they were called to the Center Street residence by another agency concerned children could be in a residence where there was drug activity. Police said when they went to the residence they encountered Payne, who assured them Zertuche was not at the residence. They said they returned to the residence a short time later after receiving additional information and located Zertuche hiding under a bed.

NO SEATBELT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Amanda L. Peets, 30, of Paddock Street, Massena, for failure to wear her seatbelt at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Park Avenue.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ashlyn M. Ashley, 18, of Adams Road, Norfolk, for speed in zone at 9:41 a.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nancy R. Hartson, 58, of Elliott Road, Winthrop, for speed in zone at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on the South Raquette Road.

UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed N.L. VanDerleeden, 58, of Ashton Road, Potsdam, for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Natasha A. Saucier, 22, of Prospect Avenue, Massena, for speed in zone at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on South Raquette Road.
