NORFOLK A North Lawrence woman faces burglary and weapons charges in connection with two alleged thefts from homes in the town of Norfolk last summer.
Kathleen M. Morgan, 28, is accused of stealing four handguns, state police Investigator Darin C. Chartrand said Wednesday. The alleged thefts were reported Aug. 31 and Sept. 5, according to state police records.
Mrs. Morgan was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, four counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property worth more than $1,000 and four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.
Investigator Chartrand said he did not know the exact value of the guns.
Mrs. Morgan was arrested at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in Massena. Following arraignment in St. Lawrence County Court, she was committed to the county jail, Canton, without bail.
