MASSENA – The Kinney Drugs Foundation has committed $25,000 in support of the Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation’s “Growing Care Campaign.”

The campaign is in support of Massena Memorial Hospital’s new Medical Office Building. The MMH Foundation board of directors has committed to raise $250,000 in capital support for the new Medical Office Building.

“The Kinney organization has been a part of the Massena since the early 1900’s. It is most gratifying to be able to support the Massena Memorial Hospital in a way to realize the Kinney Drugs Foundation’s vision, “Hhelping people live healthier lives in the communities served by Kinney Drugs Inc.,” according to Tracey Stoffel, executive director of the Kinney Drugs Foundation.

Julia Rose, MMH Foundation executive director, said “The MMH Foundation has a long history of support from Kinney Drugs from radiothon auction items to capital support. It is clear Kinney Drugs employees fully support the improvement of health care services in Massena and at Massena Memorial Hospital. The new medical office building will provide much space needed for current physicians as well as future physicians to care for our growing patient load. We are very grateful for the support of the Kinney Drugs Foundation.”

The MMH Foundation is a separate, non-profit corporation whose sole purpose is to raise funding to enhance patient care at Massena Memorial Hospital.
