When you get a minute, call your member of Congress and ask how he/she originally voted on the Stock Act. As a quick reminder, this is a law that finally prohibited members of Congress and their staff members from profiting on inside information. It was a long time coming, and it passed just a few months ago.
Not surprisingly, the Obama administration and Congress turned around and quietly gutted the new law just a few weeks back. Support for the changes and exceptions was even bipartisan. And who says Congress cant get anything done?
