AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - CANTON - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged Michael A. Leclair, 27, of Waddington with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop in the village of Canton. Deputies said they had received an anonymous complaint that Leclair was continuing to drive on a suspended license and would be leaving work at 11 p.m. in Canton and driving to his residence in Waddington. Deputies said a check with the Department of Motor Vehicles revealed Leclair’s operating privileges had been suspended following a drinking and driving conviction. The traffic stop was made as Leclair drove out of the 911 complex parking lot, deputies said.
