CANTON — Dave teRiele. Age 32, of 900 Old DeKalb Road, left this world unexpectedly on Friday, May 17, 2103 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton. A funeral mass to celebrate his life will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Canton at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 22nd followed by burial at the Foote Family Cemetery on the Old DeKalb Road.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Shannon Foote teRiele; his 22 month old son, Jonathon, who will be a big brother in less than a month. Additionally, he leaves behind his amazing parents, Joe & Barb; sisters, Karen & Christopher Peets, Donna & Dave MacTavish; brothers, Kevin & Kim and Brian & Jackie; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jones; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Kalie, Andrew, Shawn, Matt, Megan, Emily, Ashley, Natalie and Everett, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was born September 5, 1980, the youngest son of Joe and Barb, in Middlebury, VT when the family lived in Ticonderoga. He graduated from Canton Central School in 1999 and continued his education at SUNY Canton, where he graduated with honors in 2002. Dave was part owner of teRieleDairy and lived each day wearing many different hats on the farm; known as Mr. Fixit, “Sparky”, for his love of anything electrical and was regularly referred to as Million Mile an Hour Dave.

Dave was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Country Savings Bank in trust for his two precious boys.
