Gouverneur police recover stolen electronics


GOUVERNEUR — Search warrants executed at two village homes turned up a cache of electronic items allegedly stolen from vehicles in recent weeks, Gouverneur police said Wednesday.

Among the stolen goods are a laptop computer, mobile phones and GPS devices, police said, and some of their owners have not yet been identified.

Members of the village police and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a Clinton Street home in the village on Tuesday. As a result, a consensual search was conducted at Park Street home The electronics were recovered from both locations.

Police did not say whether any arrests were made in connection with either of those searches.

Anyone who has had property stolen in the village but who has not filed a report, can call Gouverneur police at (315) 287-2121.
