Salisbury (Md.) University men’s lacrosse coach and Watertown native Jim Berkman will be inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, U.S. Lacrosse announced Wednesday.

Berkman joins Quinn Carney, Michele DeJuliis, Sue Heether, Bill Miller Tracy Stumpf, Ryan Wade and Michael Watson as a member of the class of 2013 that will be inducted on Oct. 26 in Hunt Valley, Md.

Berkman is the all-time winningest coach in NCAA men’s lacrosse history with a record of 428-48 and 10 Division III national championships in 25 seasons at the helm of the Seagulls. He has also been awarded USILA national coach of the year three times.

Salisbury made the NCAA semifinals this season before falling to Stevenson last weekend.
